Undergraduate Internships

As a summer intern with Honeywell, you'll work side by side with experienced professionals in such fields as Operations, Engineering & Technology, Finance, or Marketing & Business Management. MBA/Masters Internships

As a graduate intern, Honeywell offers you the opportunity to explore potential career paths while adding value to our business. You'll network with and work alongside business leaders, managers and others within Honeywell's strategic business groups, while completing challenging assignments in one or more functional areas, including Engineering, Finance, HR & Communications, Information Technology, Law & Government Relations, Marketing & Business Management, Operations, and Sales.

Internships last about 12 weeks and include salary; in some cases relocation benefits are provided. Once you complete a successful internship, we may extend an offer for full-time employment based on business need and availability. Visit our search page for available internships.

Undergrad Co-op Opportunities

Honeywell offers co-op positions to students interested in augmenting their studies with a hands-on, part-time position in their field. Co-op assignments are managed by our individual businesses. Innovators Scholarship Program

Honeywell continually seeks strong engineering and technology talent from target universities around the globe. Through our Innovators Scholarship Program, students have the opportunity to receive a paid internship at a Honeywell facility, and scholarship money to apply toward their final school year.

We presently offer the program to students attending select Universities in the following countries:

Eligibility

The Honeywell Innovators Scholarship Program is open to Bachelor's, Master's or select PhD students who will be entering their final academic year of study in 2012. To apply, you must:

  • Be a current student at one of our target universities, pursuing a degree in one of the following disciplines:
    • Aerospace Engineering
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Computer Engineering
    • Electronics & Communication
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Instrumentation
    • Mechanical Engineering
  • Meet our academic performance requirements:
    • Achieving 90-100 on a 0-100 point scale (for students in Mexico)
    • Achieving 90-100 on a 0-100 point scale (for students in China)
    • Achieving 1 or 2 on a 1-4 point scale (for students in the Czech Republic)
    • Achieving 7+ or 8+ on a 1-8/10 point scale; 70+ or 80+ on a 1-100 point scale (students in India)
    • Achieving a 5.25 or better on a 1-6 point scale (for students in Switzerland)
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Have legal authorization to perform labor in one of the following countries: China, the Czech Republic, India, Mexico, or Switzerland.

If you meet all of the eligibility requirements, you can apply for the Honeywell Innovators Scholarship by clicking on the name of your participating university. This will take you to our careers website where you will complete an online application. This includes a candidate profile, a copy of your resume/CV, a copy of your university transcript, and your responses (in English) to both of the following essay questions. Essays can be no more than 500 words for each question and should be submitted in an attached file.

Essay 1: Describe a project you managed where there were many obstacles to success. What did you do to overcome those obstacles?

Essay 2: Describe a situation in which you identified a problem and took action to correct it rather than wait for someone else to do so.

How is the scholarship awarded?
Upon completion of the internship, students will be awarded their scholarship. The payment of the scholarship varies based on each country's and university's practices. Interns with one semester or half an academic year remaining after their internship, will receive a pro-rated amount of the full scholarship linked to your region.

How can I withdraw my application?
Send an e-mail indicating your desire to withdraw from further consideration to Innovator@honeywell.com.

If I have missed the application deadline for this program, how can I find out about additional Honeywell career opportunities?
Honeywell is continually looking for highly qualified and skilled individuals for internships and full-time opportunities. Create a profile on the Honeywell Careers Website. What are the work authorization requirements for scholarship applicants?

Early Career Development Programs

If you're interested in a career within Engineering, Finance, HR & Communications, or Operations (Integrated Supply Chain), our rotational development programs will give you the broad exposure you need to begin your path to success. Here you'll gain firsthand experience through high-quality work assignments, mentoring from senior leadership, and learning experiences specific to your interests and goals. The following programs are available to qualified candidates:

Integrated Supply Chain Development Program (ISCDP)

ISCDP programs accelerate the development of supply chain professionals by providing them rotational assignments that impart understanding of end-to-end integrated supply chain. The program is available to undergraduates majoring in supply chain, business, and engineering disciplines. This program is sponsored by both our Aerospace & Specialty Materials businesses and is currently available in the United States.

UOP Career Development Program (CDP)

The UOP-CDP program is a unique training program that prepares graduates for working with UOP customers world-wide. Click here for an overview of this program. Finance Undergraduate Rotational Leadership Development Program (FURDLP)

The Finance Development program is a finance career path that helps build lasting skill sets in accounting/controllership, financial planning and analysis, and operations and sales excellence. This program is available to undergraduates majoring in finance and accounting. The program is sponsored by our Aerospace and Automation and Control Solutions businesses and is currently available in the United States.

HR Pathways

The Pathways program is intended to accelerate your development through a variety of focused experiences and executive mentoring as you initiate your HR career at Honeywell. Pathways is a self-directed, flexible rotational program that generally involves varied real job assignments, while receiving guidance, opportunities and training from executive sponsors. The program is available to graduates majoring in human resources. The program is sponsored by all of our businesses and is currently available in the United States, but expanding into both the EMEA & APAC regions.

Training Programs

Jet-Pro Program

The Jet-Pro program is a new approach to attract and develop Junior Engineering Talent. It is a program designed to effectively hire and integrate new engineers into our business and provide training that will allow them to achieve success and grow fast in the organization. This program is available to graduates majoring in engineering. The program is sponsored by our Automation and Control Solutions business and is currently available in multiple countries throughout the world, specifically, the EMEA region.

Farm Team New Hire Training Program

The Farm Team New Hire rotational training program will provide significant classroom and hands-on training along with exposure to multiple functions within the Honeywell Process Solutions Operations organization. This program is available to students seeking both Associates and Bachelors degrees in engineering. The program is sponsored by our Automation and Control Solutions business and is currently available in the United States.
